I know why I was banned - I was flagging admin abuse in the server when I got told to post in the forums, but it was pretty serious admin abuse and I dont think me voicing my opinion warrants a permenant ban.
I was one of several regulars who complained about the inconsistency of the admins decisions. 'Cat disease' got slapped about because he was 'camping' (aka protecting) the hostages as a T on compound. We were told no camping and if we wanted to disagree we could go on the forums.
What I dont understand is why this no-camping policy is so randomly administrated. During the next map plenty of MAG players were camping on each bombsite yet they didn't get slapped or warned.
We even got told to 'stfu or find another server' by the admin, I'm pretty sure thats against the MAG rules as well.
When I was banned as I wasn't even saying anything about the rules, I just said we dont understand why the admins are so inconsistent about enforcing the rules.

yeah. i've seen mag camp plenty of times. camping after they plant the bomb for instance
from observing objectives on the maps and adding a bit of logic, it's easy to deduce that in situations or in certain places, it's sensible to 'camp'/defend areas
whilst i'm here. why have a voting system if the admins change the map anyway?

in all fairness, i was following the rules. i did nothing against your rules. if i can 'take the mickey' cause i don't agree with them, does that deserve a ban?

I'm sorry if I gave the impression that i was 'taking the mickey' but I seriously wasn't trying to do that, nor was i trying to take the piss.
if you check the server logs i didnt say half the things hippeh said but he only got a 30minute ban?
could we not work out a compromise and at least have a time limit on this ban? I have learnt my lesson that admins have final say no matter what.

I do believe that if you give you steam id to Headhunter that particular ban will be lifted, alternatively we can continue to debate this.... ::)

Well I can't say anything about what transpired after the event on the next map, but I can make my point regarding what happened to me on compound.
After the CTs started to push forward and my T comrades numbers dwindled, I made a desperate dash to protect the hossies and ensure my team completed it's objective. Within 10 seconds of me entering the hossy room I was slapped by an admin (not usre which one).
I then asked why I was slapped (I managed to complete my team objective despite, this uneccessary slap) and was told to stfu by an admin.
In principle, I agree with the MAG attempts to spring forth a free flowing game of source by encouraging rushing and a reduction in camping, but the 'no camping' rule seems to administered in a highly inconsistent manner. An example of this being protecting hostages on the appropriate maps. Surely as a T it is my objective to ensurethe hossies are not taken by the CTs? I can understand an admin slapping a CT if they are not going after the hossies or if the Ts do not try to enter a bombsite, but what happened to me was unreasonable. Afterall, I do not see the admins slapping CTs for defending the bombsites, which has exact paralells to my situation of protecting hossies.
I apologise if I sounded rude whilst defending my appropriate tactics and for the following arguments when other people on the server pointed out that what I was doing was both normal and reasonable.
In summary, I would hope that the usually fine MAG admins take this on board and allow them to learn from this and enforce the rules in a reasonable and logical manner in future. I look forward to your responses and appreciate your input on this delicate subject.

You don't like our rules there are plenty of servers for you to chose from. We will not tolerate anyone trying to tell us how to run our server and constantly bitching about the rules.

no one is complaining about the rules, thats not what this is about. several people didnt understand how the admins enforce these rules because people being slapped was entirely random. that was all.
i totally agree that camping Ts on bomb maps should be a slappable offence, but not CTs camping at bombsites (unless the bomb is at the other site)

Just to round this off:
"Baron - you are now on our radar so dont put a foot out of place from now on unless you want to be banned."
You will find that in a previous thread. Hopefully that answers some of your questions. I'm sure the banning admin didn't appreciate the ridicule you displayed whilst they where trying to enforce server rules. After all, you couldn't have been making their job any easier so assuming that, that'd also explain why you where banned so swiftly.
They provide the server you play on, and as such, they can act on any bullshit snide comments you make as they see fit. This is all within reason of course, which is why most bans can be appealed against with a group decision being made on the justification of such bans by all MAG's, not just the admin banning you.
As for you comments about multiple accounts and evading present and future bannings, I'm sure a subnet ban of your IP, made available via you're recent forum posts, would easily rectify this situation you've brought to light. I'm sure the MAG's will also thank you kindly for bringing it to their attention.
People come and go, but this community has been going from strength to strength since its creation. Consider yourself a small blip in the large scale of this communities history. A few weeks from now and im sure you will probably be forgotten by most, with your player slot being occupied by more pleasant company.
And for a final question, How come you plan to resort to such measures to continue your playtime on a server operating rules you don't agree with? Surely you'd enjoy your time more by playing on a server more suited to your interests?

I highly doubt you are an adult because i find it hard to believe some people still act so stupid. So... at the moment, you are currently spouting nonsense :) Go ahead and reset your IP, thats why i said a SUBNET ban. You can keep on resetting away but you won't be any closer to getting on. And purchasing access to a proxy server? So that all your internet traffic is routed through that? My god you sound so desperate and pathetic Ste so just move on, it's for the best.

Rubbish, you were there nearly all round. I know as I was the last man bar you on the T's and everytime I came back near the Chimney Stack your were still in the shack with the hossie's.

Hey [MAG] Just thought i would comment on this issue, Ive never had any problem with any of the [MAG] admins and i personally think they do a good job People like *BallBaron* would Kick up a fuss about anything they didnt like i personaly have exp With his "Wonderfull Personality" So i think Its a good choice :) Nice one [MAG] keep up the good work :P

by the way can i just make it perfectly clear to everyone that i have no relationship what so ever with people from the so called 'regless' clan. i simply once put the tags on to pretend to recruit a rubbish player for their team as a joke. i was talking to one of the members today ('dres') and apparently i have given the clan a bad name. i apologise to dres and his team mates for giving the impression that i was part of their good clan and giving the impression that they are all idiots like myself.

I'm starting to see now that this was kind of a player migration from regless to mag servers after regless folded. Problematic to say the least.
