The servers rules state no swearing or offensive names. the first may have been to rich - nothing was said about the second..

Its quite simple here, this guy came on with an inappropiate name and was asked (politely, I hope) to change, he then changed it to another inappropiate one ....
Its not that he was a nice guy so "its all ok".
If he was smart then he would noticed that those kind of names are not tolerated after he was asked to change it, but instead he decided to play games with the admin and got banned in the process.
He played with fire and got burnt its his own damn fault.
As you are defending him so valiantly, can I assume he is a mate of yours ?
If so then as a good friend you should have told him what the rules are and that those names are not accepted on here.
Although by your defense of him, I can see that you dont quite get what we do and do not allow on MAG.
